NastPlas is an international artist duo formed in 2006 by illustrator Fran R. Learte ‘drFranken’ and creative director Natalia Molinos ‘Na’ (together, ‘Equipo Nastplas’).
Their work combines an impressive range of digital elements and abstract patterns to develop elaborate pieces of art with a deep aesthetic inspired by the laws of nature, forms found in science, engineering, architecture, thought, inquiry, and scientific research.
Their imagery is nurtured by a personal symbolism with which they aim to reflect in their works scenes and objects related to the human and natural world, always cultivating the continuous search for answers beyond the visible, capturing the imagination and emotions of the viewer.
Through different planes, they conceptually explore the boundaries between reality and abstraction through an ascending and constant process of artistic investigation and experimentation.
This year, NastPlas has opened an innovative physical production atelier @nastPhy that fuses rich artisanal traditions with the latest digital technologies. This space not only represents an evolution in their production capabilities but also serves as a platform for experimentation and the creation of unique works of art resulting from the combination of natural materials and cutting-edge technology.
This new space will allow for the exploration of new frontiers in artistic creation by blending traditional craftsmanship with state-of-the-art digital tools. The convergence of these two dimensions will enable the development of works that reflect not only manual dexterity and ancestral knowledge but also the ability to innovate and adapt to contemporary demands.
